Dates:
December 20th-22nd (field trips: 20th; oral and
poster sessions: 21st and 22nd)
Location:
Main Arts Building, Upper Bangor
Fieldtrips:
Two field trips have been confirmed. The first
trip will take you to Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia National Park.
Professor James Scourse will introduce the geological history of
the classic volcanic and glacial sequences in this area. The second
field trip will focus on the Precambrian and Palaeozoic geology
of the Isle of Anglesey, led by Rob Crossley from Fugro-Robertson.
Oral sessions:
Two parallel oral sessions will be run in close proximity in the
Main Arts Building. There will be special sessions, amongst which
a session to raise interest and awareness of BSRG in environmental
and climate science communities.
Poster sessions:
The poster room is close to the oral session rooms. We will continue
last year’s initiative of a dedicated poster session, preceded by
a session of express-format, 1-slide introductions. So posters are
a worthy alternative to oral presentations.
